Esperanza Ficarra, 82, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born on Jan. 19, 1931, in Kahuku, Hawaii, a daughter of Condrada Taitin-Mortos.
On June 9, 2012 she was maried to Robert Ficarra, who survives of the home.
She enjoyed cross word puzzles, cooking, going to the boats, and taking care of her family. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sedalia.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two children: Terry Maghanoy of Hawaii and Amelia Millus of Sedalia; twelve grandchildren including: Kaipo, Kimo, Malia, Stacey, Tracey, Bruce and Michael; two great grandchildren; 14 brothers and sisters including: Indai Reeves of Texas and Pablo Garcia of Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by three children, Alfred Jr. Maghanoy, Johnathan Maghanoy, and Caralee Maghanoy.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 1:45 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Mass of Christian burial will be held following visitation at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sedalia at 2 p.m. with Father Mark Miller, C.PP.S officiating.
