Smith-Cotton DECA members, Mike Pugh, Trey Napier and Joseph Rodewald earned an early invitation to international competition by placing first in Central Region in the online Virtual Business Restaurant Challenge recently. The three successfully managed a restaurant earning more profit than any other team in the 13-state region.
Earning the right to attend this conference is a prestigious honor. It will greatly enhance the marketing and management experience of these students, therefore benefiting the community in the future. While they are extremely excited about this experience, it is also very costly to the students. Each student is responsible for earning $1,000 in order to attend. Therefore, DECA would greatly appreciate any contributions to this worthy cause. Donors will be recognized at upcoming fund-raisers, the annual DECA banquet, as well as mentioned in DECA’s “Thank-you” advertisement in the newspaper.
Donations may be sent to: Amanda Mills, S-C DECA Adviser, 2010 Tiger Pride Blvd, Sedalia Mo., 65301. Please make checks payable to Smith-Cotton DECA. “Thank you in advance for your support of our outstanding DECA students,” Mills said. Submitted photo.
