St. Paul’s Saints rout Smithton

The St. Paul’s Saints routed Smithton 69-29 in a non-conference game Tuesday night at Smithton.

The Saints led 13-7 after the first quarter, 34-22 at the half and 64-29 after three quarters. The Saints held the Tigers scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Michael Nebel led the Saints with 14 points and Sam Schmidt added 11. The two almost beat Smithton by themselves.

Tyler Gerke led Smithton with 11 points and three treys. Dane Apsher had seven points and 11 rebounds.

Smithton played Cole Camp Tuesday afternoon in the Class 2 District 8 Tournament at Russellville.
