Smithton Lady Tigers lose final home game

The Smithton Lady Tigers lost 46-44 to the St Paul’s Lady Saints in a non-conference game Tuesday night at Smithton.

St. Paul’s led 16-10 after the first quarter, the game was tied 22-22 at the half and the Lady Saints led 38-28 after three quarters.

Kaley Snapp led Smithton with 16 points. Senior Bethany Freel, who was honored in Senior Night festivities, added 11 points and Mariah Cairer also scored 11 to climb over the 300-point mark for the season.

The Lady Tigers played top-seeded Russellville Monday in the first round of the Class 2 District 8 Tournament at Russellville.
