This past Saturday, Smith-Cotton Show Choirs — Broadway Velocity, Cabaret and New Score — traveled to Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville for a show choir competition. There were 27 choirs from four different states competing that day.

“I am very proud to announce that Broadway Velocity received third place in the Secondary Choirs out of seven choirs. New Score received second place in the XL division out of nine choirs.

“I am very proud of these students and what they have accomplished. I am especially proud about this weekend because both Mrs. Dake and myself graduated from NWMSU,” said Chris Kindle, S-C Vocal Music Director and Co-Senior Class Sponsor. Submitted photos.
