Roadrunner teams sweep Penn Valley

The State Far Community College men and women swept the Penn Valley Scouts Saturday in Kansas City.

The Lady Roadrunners won 75-71 and the Roadrunner men won 78-55.

In the women’s game, Adella Randle El scored 25 points with four treys, grabbed four rebounds, dished out two assists and made two steals. Antoinette Taylor and Mia Wesley each scored 11, Julia Torres 10 and Sannayiahh Johnson nine.

Torres led the Lady Roadrunners with eight rebounds and Taylor had six.

State Fair led 41-35 at the half.

The Lady Roadrunners improved to 19-6 on the season.

In the men’s game, Kenny Chery scored a game-high 24 points with four treys, pulled down four rebounds, dished out four assists and made one steal. Kevin Punter added 19 points with a trey and three steals. Ben Denbow added 12 with a trey. Charles Beard scored seven and pulled down a team-high six rebounds.

State Fair led 39-25 at the half.

The Roadrunners improved to 19-6 overall and are 7-4 on the road.
