S-C wrestlers down Kewpies

The Smith-Cotton wrestling Tigers defeated Hickman 51-23 in a dual match Thursday in Columbia.

The match started with the 160-pound class and S-C’s Jacob Weeks won by forfeit. At 170, S-C’s Petr Tysmbal won by forfeit to give S-C a 12-0 lead.

At 182, S-C’s Wade Hagebusch won by pin. At 195, Trevor Slivkov won on a decision to make it 21-0 S-C.

At 220, S-C’s Kyler Taber was pinned to get Hickman on the board at 21-6. At 285, S-C’s Dylan Keele won by forfeit to put S-C up 27-6 and guaranteed the dual win for the Tigers.

At 106 pounds, S-C’s Kyle Perez won b forfeit to make it 33-6. Logan Parham was pinned at 113 pounds to make it 33-12. Luke Archibeque lost by decision at 120 to make it 33-15.

Zach Wooldridge lost by decision at 126 to close the gap to 33-18. At 132, Tanner Proctor won by forfeit to make it 39-18. At 138, Caleb Hurley won by pin to make it 45-18.

At 145, Colin Debow lost by tech fall to make it 45-23. At 152, Noa Aziere won by pin to close the match 52-23 with S-C on top.
