Joe Thomasson scored 22 points to lead the State Fair Community College Roadrunners to an 85-67 win over the Central Methodist University Junior Varsity Tuesday night at the Fred E. Davis Multipurpose Center.
Thomasson, averaging 13.7 points per game, made seven of 14 shots inside the 3-point line, two of five from beyond the arc and was perfect from the free throw line, making six of six.
Thomasson was one of four Roadrunners in double figures.
Marcus Mondaine netted 14 and made six of seven free throws. Ayo Ojo scored 13 points and pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. Kevin Punter had 11 points, five boards, an assist and three steals. Ben Denbow and Charles Beard scored eight points each.
Kaden Jones led CMU with 14 points. Matt Lloyd added 13, Garrett Gladden 11 and Kevin O’Keefe 10.
The Roadrunners, 17-6, made 19 of 22 (86 percent) from the free throw line. For the season, State Fair is shooting 70 percent from the stripe.
The Roadrunners are averaging 86.8 points per game while giving up 71 points per game.
