A 45-minute talent show featured live music, drama, poetry reading and story-telling Wednesday afternoon at the Sacred Heart gym.

Those exhibiting their talents included the Sacred Heart Band, the Sacred Heart Choir and students such as Jess Carroll, who dramatically read aloud his original poems, and a very animated Megan Ortmeyer, who entertained the entire student body with her story-telling skills.

The event was hosted by drama club teacher Jan Bahner. The choir was led by vocal music teacher Darrin Hartman on electric piano and the musicians were led by band teacher Nancy Edwards, accompanied by Dave Turner on bass.

The event was a dual celebration of Catholic Schools Week and Spirit Week, with many of the students wearing pajamas on Wednesday as part of the celebration. Photos by Randy Kirby, Sedalia News Journal.
