S-C Lady Tiger swimmers lose three of four

The Smith-Cotton Lady Tiger swimming team lost three of four dual meets Jan. 23.

S-C beat William Chrisman 148-41 and lost 173-102 to Truman, 197-83 to Ray Pec and 213-79 to Liberty North.

Liberty North won all four duals to take the team title.

For S-C, Mariah Voitl, Wendsday Thompson, Rachel Howieson and Abby Monsees finished second in the 200 medley relay. Katana Blankenship, Melissa Rapp, Haley Tejada and Gracie Turner took 10th in the medley relay. Ali Bankovich took sixth in the 200 free. Thompson took third and Rapp seventh in the 200 IM. Monsees was seventh in the 50 free.

Monsees was second and Voitl fifth in the 100 butterfly. Brittany Borke was 13th and Bankovich 14th in the 100 free. Thompson won the 500 free and Howieson was fifth.

Bankovich, Howieson, Thompson and Monsees finished third in the 200 free relay and Blankenship, Tejada, Borke and Turner took 10th. Borke finished 12th in the 100 backstroke. Blankenship was 11th in the 100 breaststroke. Bankovich, Voitl, Borke and Rapp took sixth in the 400 free relay.
