CRTA hears about Civil War exhibit

Kathleen Boswell was the guest speaker for The Community Retired Teachers Association’s Jan. 16 meeting.

She told 22 members and guests about the Civil War Exhibit at Katy Depot. The exhibit on loan from the Missouri History Museum will be on display until Feb. 16. Also a display about Sedalians during the Civil War is on exhibit all year. There will be several activities featuring the Civil War happening throughout the year at the Katy Depot.

Carolyn Hays conducted the business meeting. Carol Klein gave the treasurer’s report and Jeanne Curry read the secretary’s report. Hays reminded members to list volunteer hours and donations each month. She announced that Legislative Day will be Feb. 12 in Jefferson City. Barbara Freund reported on several legislative issues.

The next meeting will be February 20 at Christ and Trinity Lutheran Church.
