Triplett named assistant superintendent for District 200

On Monday, January 14, 2013 in closed session, the Board of Education of the Sedalia #200 School District hired Mr. Steve Triplett as Assistant Superintendent of Schools in charge of Buildings and Grounds / Student Support Services.

Mr. Triplett has spent his entire 20 years in education with the Sedalia School District. He began his educational career in 1993 as a high school P.E. teacher and soccer coach. He has served as Assistant Principal at the Middle School and High School as well as Principal of the Junior High for two years and most recently, as Principal of Smith-Cotton High School since the summer of 2011.

Mr. Triplett brings a wealth of Sedalia Community values to the position as well as a long list of successful administrative experience, the district said.

Mr. Triplett is a 1983 graduate of Smith-Cotton High School who holds a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration from the University of Central Missouri and an Education Specialist degree from Williams Woods University.

Mr. Triplett will fill the position vacated by Mr. Bradley Pollitt when he was selected as Superintendent of Schools effective July 1, 2013.
