The Ringen Brushy 4-H Club met Jan. 9 at 7 p.m. at Smithton School gym. President, Brittany Hall, called the meeting to order. Zack Cordes led the pledges. Secretary, Kiersten Luttrell, called roll. There were 56 members present. Minutes were read and approved. Treasurer, Tyler Gerke, read the treasurers report.
Old business discussed was volunteers to do demonstrations at the January meeting, teen conference, and the club needs a leader for the ham project.
New business discussed was volunteers for the February meeting and Jonathan Curtis and Summer Caton volunteered. Discussed the Teen Conference coming up in March and who is interested in going. The deadline to register is January 24. The club voted to pay a portion of the fees. Shelbi Miller did a demonstration on archery. We also discussed project reports on beef, lamb, and vet science. Other announcements included a cake decorating project meeting is Tuesday, January 15 at 6:30 at Melissa Brown’s house. A swine meeting is scheduled Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. at the Schroder’s house.
The next meeting is Wednesday, Feb. 13 at 7 p.m. at Smithton School gym. If school is canceled, 4-H is canceled. David Boatright made a motion to adjourn the meeting, Stacia Luttrell seconded it. Refreshments were provided by the Curtis, Caton, and Amos Families.
