Gremlins suffer first loss of season

The Sacred Heart Gremlins suffered their first loss of the season, falling 69-58 to the Warsaw

Wildcats Saturday night at the Sacred Heart gym.

The Wildcats, 7-4, made nine treys and shot 40 free throws compared to 18 for the Gremlins.

Garrett Strange led Sacred Heart, 9-1, with 20 points. Brad Jelinek led Warsaw with 19.

On Friday night at Sacred Heart, the Gremlins cruised to a 76-40 Kaysinger Conference win over the La Monte Vikings.

Strange led Sacred Heart with 20 points. Clint Spangler added 13 and Riley Simmons 10.
