Paul Allen Hedrick, 71, of Sedalia, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at his home. He was born on Feb. 24, 1941 in Stover, a son of Benjamin and Clara (Buskirk) Hedrick.
On Aug. 16, 1961 in Sedalia, he was married to Janice Twyman, who survives of the home.
He worked for the City of Sedalia and retired after 27 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and cooking.
Besides his wife he is survived by five children, Pauline Hedrick (Marc Workman) of Springfield, Walter (Rita) Hedrick of Springfield, Alice Jones of Columbia, Lorrie (Chris) Ackerman of Sedalia and Tracy (John) O’Brien of Kirkwood; six siblings, Grace DeForrest, Benjamin Hedrick Jr., Ruth O’Dell, Barbara Prock, Joyce Vanderslice and Loretta Moon; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Lois Hedrick, Walter (Bud) Hedrick, Ravona Wallace, Leona Sprinkle, Edith Wilson and Dorothy Jesse.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 2 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia with Rev. Ed Broyles officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
