Cole Camp girls upset Osage

The sixth-seeded Cole Camp Lady Bluebirds upset third-seeded School of the Osage 44-32 Saturday in the first round of the Stover Tournament.

Kaleena Logan led Cole Camp, 5-5, with 22 points. Emily Pritzel added nine points and Mason Hams seven, including a 4-for-4 performance at the free throw line in the fourth quarter.

Cole Camp played Laquey Wednesday in the semifinals.

In other first-round girls’ games Saturday, Versailles beat Iberia 70-61, Laquey doubled up Stover 65-32 and Eldon whipped Holden 58-38.

Mallory Uptegrove led Stover in their loss to Laquey with 13 points.

In the first-round boys’ games Saturday, Cole Camp improved to 9-2 with a 73-50 win over School of the Osage.

Tanner Oelrichs led the Bluebirds with 23 points. Brendan Rusk added 18,

Tristan Hensley and Hayden Drace each scored 13 for Osage.

Cole Camp led 36-23 at the half.

In other first-round boys’ games, Versailles clipped Holden 68-63 and Eldon walloped Stover 60-33.

Matt Frisk led Stover with nine points.

Cole Camp took on Versailles in the semifinals Thursday evening.
