Hoskins named chair of Appropriations for Transportation & Economic Development

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Rep. Denny Hoskins, R-Warrensburg, has once again been named Chairman of the Appropriations Committee charged with oversight of the House Budget Bill for Transportation and Economic Development (HB 7).

Selected by the new Speaker of the House, Rep. Tim Jones, Rep. Hoskins will continue to play a key role in determining how money is appropriated to the Missouri Dept. of Transportation, the Dept. of Economic Development, the Dept. of Insurance, Financial Institutions, and Professional Registration, and the Dept. of Labor and Industrial Relations.

“I am pleased the Speaker has entrusted me with this tremendous responsibility,” said Hoskins. “There are numerous qualified Representatives capable of administering this Chairmanship and to be chosen again is truly a great honor.”
