Joshua Len Holbert, 19, of Sedalia, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. He was born on Oct. 12, 1993, in Columbia, Mo., a son of Charles Cook (Lisa) of Eldridge, Mo., and Mildred Holbert of Sedalia.
He loved motorcross racing, paintball and playing video games. He also enjoyed fishing and riding around with his dad on country roads.
Besides his parents, he is survived by three sisters, Jessica Holbert of Sedalia, Sharon Harrington of Bunceton and Falicity Cook of Harrison, Ark.; two brothers, Saquoya and Jeremy Cook of Harrison, Ark.; maternal grandparents, Don and Mary Holbert of Sedalia; paternal grandma, Mary Cook of Camdenton; maternal great grandma, Marie Holbert of Kansas City and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Isaiah Garner; his maternal grandma, Vickie Lee Adkins; paternal grandpa, James Cook, Sr; maternal great grandpa, Leonard Holbert and his paternal great grandparents.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 at Rea Funeral Chapel Sedalia, with Rev. Logan Patrick officiating.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Special Olympics of Missouri in care of the funeral chapel.
