Benjamin Douglas O’Doniel, 60, of Sedalia, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at Harlan County Health, Alma, Neb. He was born on March 7, 1952, in Lexington, a son of John and Virginia (Willard) O’Doniel.
He enjoyed to hunt, work with wood, crafts and cabinetry.
He is survived by his two children, Laura Kempf and her husband Robert of Sedalia, Stacey O’Doniel and his wife Kim of Stamford, Neb. and their mother, Marilyn Miller of Sedalia; seven grandchildren, Alisha, Tyler, Kaytlin, Cyle, Sarah, Emily and Jason; one great grandson, Aiden; two sisters, Shirley Hodges of Apache Junction, Ariz., Linda Bean and her husband John of Sedalia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Raymond O’Doniel and one granddaughter, Haley Dawn O’Doniel.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 30 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
Committal of Ben’s ashes will follow service at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral chapel.
