Alma H. Lewis, 93, of Sedalia, died on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012 at her daughters home.
She was born on Dec. 25, 1918 in Beggs, Oklahoma daughter of Fred and Ellen Edmonds Chambers.
She was married to R.G. Kilgore in 1932 in Hot Springs, Arkansas and he preceded her in death. She was then married to Garland Lewis in 1948 in Stanford, Texas and he also preceded her. She was raised and educated in Morris, Oklahoma. She moved to Sedalia in 2005 and lived with her daughter the past five years. She was a member of the Bethel Assembly Of God Church. She enjoyed attending to her flowers. She loved her church and spending time with her family.
She is survived by one daughter: Darlene Stevenson of Sedalia, 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Patricia Ann Burns, two sons: Charles Kilgore and Carl Kilgore, one brother: Van Chambers.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 18 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Gray officiating.
Serving as pallbearers were friends. Burial will be in Green Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Bethel Assembly Of God Church Missions in care of the funeral home. You may leave condolences online at ewingschuttesemlerfh.com.
