Colleen Kay Johnson, 75, of Sedalia, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at her home. She was born on Feb. 17, 1937, in Valley County, Nebraska, a daughter of Orville and Fern (Holmes) Gregg.
On Jan. 11, 1964, in Lincoln, she was united in marriage to Raymond Johnson, who preceded her in death on July 2, 2002.
She worked briefly at Rival Manufacturing, Sedalia and Unitog, Warsaw, but was mainly a housewife. She enjoyed rock hounding and making jewelry. She also loved fishing, sewing and garage sales. She was an honorary member of Mozarkite Rock Club.
She is survived by four children, Debra Kimber of Sedalia, Robin Kimber of Sedalia, Mark Kimber of Nebraska, and Teresa Grose and her husband John Mark of Green Ridge; three brothers, Tom Gregg of North Loup, Neb., Frank Gregg of Collins, and James Gregg of Collins; six sisters, Marilyn Richey of Sedalia, LaDawn Burson of Calhoun, Ramona Bredthauer of Hastings, Neb., Naomi Martin of Green Ridge, Charlene Johnson of Green Ridge, and Loqueeta Stultz of Mora; seven grandchildren, Jason Brawn, Shawna Grose, Gina Grose, Christopher Kimber, Steven Rosencrans, Alan Kimber and Eileen Silva; five great grandchildren, Colleen Bluehorse, Jerrie Jaelynn Grose-Perkins, Elyssa Dehart, Maya Dehart and Mikala Dehart; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and David Gregg; two sisters, Audrey Bodenhamer and Alona Case; and a granddaughter, Stephanie Grose.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Sam Hinkle officiating.
Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery, Warsaw.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Nov. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
