Last Saturday at the Neewollah marching band festival in Independence, Kan., the Smith-Cotton Tiger Pride Band received the highest possible ratings.
The band received a “I” or Superior rating in both field and parade marching with additional accolades heaped on the drumline, guard and drum majors.
The band performed before an audience of approximately 12,500 spectators at the 34th annual festival in Southeast Kansas. The band’s next performance will be at the Autozone Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tenn.
