James E. Morgan, 71, of Marshall, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at his home.
He was born October 1, 1941 in Weatherford, Texas, he was the son of the late Edgar Allen and Dora J. Groves Morgan. He was married to Sharon (Gregg) Admire, who survives. On July 4, 1989 in Las Vegas, he married Raylene Anderson, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are five children, Amy Ballard (Carl), of Sedalia, Dan Bell (Brooke), of Sedalia, Tom Bell (Lisa), of New Salem, Penn., James Morgan (Donna), of Grandbury, Texas and Jerry Morgan, of Altus, Okla.; 15 grandchildren, Tatum, Jackson and Mallory Morgan, Cerissa, Breanna and Zenon Martin, Jason, Haley, Macey and Laney Morgan, Morgan and Brayden Ballard, and Carson, Alyssa and Blake Bell; and one great-grandson, Jadon Morgan.
Mr. Morgan grew up in Hedrick, Okla.. He farmed and worked as a diesel and tractor mechanic. He owned and operated Morgan Tractor Service. He was a tow truck operator for Don’s Truck Towing for 17 years. He loved to barbeque and spend time with his family.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Robert Sisney officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Weaver, Frosty Weaver, Rob Weaver, Kenny New, Rick Goalder, Don Barton and Tommy White. Honorary pallbearer will be Allen Young. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Monday.
