Once again persons 65 and over will have the opportunity for free Federal and State tax preparation from many of the local senior centers throughout the 13 counties. The IRS awarded the Tax Counseling for the Elderly grant to Care Connection for Aging Services to provide tax counseling and preparation.

The senior centers begin taking appointments in the middle of January 2013 for the first week of February. Persons 65 and over may also have their MO Property Tax Credit (Circuit Breakers) prepared by the tax volunteers, as well.

For more information, please, contact Kathy Ray-Smith, TCE Coordinator for Care Connection at (660) 747-3107.
