A 28-year-old Warrensburg man suffered moderate injuries on Tuesday afternoon at North 65 and Claycomb Road when the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving experienced a defect that caused him to lose control of the southbound vehicle and travel off the right side of the roadway and overturn.

Michael B. Vacca was transported to University Hospital in Columbia via Air Evac, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said in its report. Mr. Vacca was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, the report said.

A total of six troopers, assisted by the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department, worked the accident scene, which was reported at 3:40 p.m.
