Sgt. Bradley Beard receives stuffed animals collected from the 7th & 8th grade Team Goal Getters at Smith-Cotton Junior High for their Service Learning Day, Oct. 12.

The students brought in gently used stuffed animals to give to local organizations such as the Sedalia Police Department, CASA, Pettis County Sheriff and Fire Departments, and Child Safe, so that they can give the animals to children who have experienced trauma.

Pictured is Sergeant Brad Beard, and (not in any order) Dakota Zeller, Jackson Kempton, Jordan Lawson, Tanner Powell, Dillon Sonano, Drake Allen and Gavin Jones. Photo submitted by Sandy Goff.
