Judy Kathleen (Walters) Anderson, 65, of Sedalia, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Rest Haven Convalescent Center.
She was born Aug. 2, 1947, in Sedalia, a daughter of the late William H. and Lula Mae (Cochran) Walters. On Aug. 20, 1971, in Cass County, she married Melvin Gerald Anderson, who preceded her in death on March 21, 1976.
She was raised in Sedalia and attended Otterville School. She was a homemaker and was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed music, dancing, family and friends.
She is survived by four children, Tammy Sue Spellmeyer Peterson, of Independence, Stephen Wayne Spellmeyer, and his wife, Katie Marie, of South Huron, SD, Gerald Dewayne Anderson, of Brookfield, and Sheri Lyn Matz, and her husband, Craig, of Sedalia; four siblings, Martha Lou Walters Craig, and her husband, Albert Raymond, of Missouri, William Harvey Walters, Jr., and his wife, Helen Jenennine, of Wash., Raymond Edmond Walters, and his wife, Joyce Ann, of Texas, and Linda Earlene Walters Pottorff, of Missouri; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jim Downing officiating. Pallbearers will be Tyler Weston Anderson, Jacob Lee Craig, Jeffrey Ray Craig, Steven Ray Von Craig, James L. Drake, Joey Kowalski and Gary Wayne Welschmeyer. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
