S-C Marching Tigers take second at Raytown Band Fest

The Smith-Cotton Tiger Pride Band finished second in the White class at the Raytown Marching Band Festival at Raytown High School on Saturday, Oct. 6.

Lansing, Kan., finished first in the class with Pleasant Hill tieing S-C for second. Ruskin finished fourth and Raytown South was fifth. The indoor guard and indoor drumline both finished in third place.

The band’s next performance will be Friday night for the Homecoming game at Jennie Jaynes stadium. Their next competition will be the Neewollah festival in Independence, Kan., on Oct. 27.
