The Ringen Brushy 4-H club met Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. at Smithton School Cafeteria. Vice-President Skyler Bahner called the meeting to order. There were 54 members present. The club welcomed 11 new members. Secretary Suzanne Thompson read the minutes and Treasurer Tyler Gerke gave the treasurers report.
Old business discussed was the Smithton Fair fund-raiser, Achievement Days and the Pettis County Livestock Show.
New business discussed was yearend reports and enrollments. Enrollments were distributed and the members were reminded that they are due back at the next meeting in October. A committee was selected for the 4-H week window display. Committee members are Jonathan Curtis, Alexis Curtis, Eli Brown, Madalyn Amos, Tyler Gerke, Brittany Hall, Chelsy Hall, Kandyn Hotsenpiller and Megan Thomas.
Officers for the 2013 4-H year were installed, they are: President, Brittany Hall; Vice-President, Suzanne Thompson; Secretary, Kiersten Luttrell; Treasurer, Tyler Gerke; Reporter, Brianna Eisenbarth; Historians, Shelby Miller, Alexis Curtis and Chelsy Hall. County Council representatives are Brittany Hall, Connor Bahner and Megan Thomas. Alternate council representatives are Tyler Gerke and Kandyn Hotsenpiller.
Members were reminded to invite anyone interested in joining 4-H to attend our meetings and find about the fun of 4-H. We meet the second Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Smithton School Cafeteria.
