The Pettis County Republican Women’s group met recently and heard presentations from two candidates for county offices.

The speakers were Kim Lyne, seeking the office of county treasuer, and Brent Hamby, who is running for the eastern commissioner’s post.

Minutes from the April meeting were read and approved and correspondence information was distributed.

Carla Young and Kris Cox related their experiences at the national convention.

The group meets every second Thursday, with the next meeting set for Oct. 11 when Susie Spence, the wife of David Spence, Republican candidate for Missouri governor, will speak.
