The members included: Emily Blackburn, Brittany Green, Alexas Martin, Savannah Perez, Jessica Reynolds, Diana Rodriguez, Jolee VanBooven and Devin Weir. They were chaperoned by Mrs.Robin Blackburn, parent, and Mrs. Doris Jolly, the La Monte FCCLA advisor.

Team Spirit is a program designed to empower youth to take an active role in promoting safe driving habits, preventing alcohol and other drug use and the impaired driving that accompanies such use. Through their involvement in this program, Team Spirit members strengthen their individual determination and ability to remain alcohol free. by working together, the members become an effective team creating positive changes within their schools and communities.

The goal of the Team Spirit Leadership Conference is to provide participants with motivation, leadership skills, and information. Each school team will then have the opportunity to develop their own team’s individual action plan to address traffic crashed in their school and community.
