Juanita A. Chambers, 88, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 surrounded by her family. She was born July 29, 1924, the daughter of Walter and Pearl (Byrd) Tubbs. Juanita and John Q. Chambers were married and celebrated 60 years together, and he survives of the home.
Juanita and John were travelers. They visited Oklahoma and Oregon. When she wasn’t traveling she enjoyed coffee, cigarettes, watching hummingbirds and growing flowers.
She is survived by her husband; her daughters, Judy Didlot and husband Jim, Joyce Dotson and husband Billy and Christine Silna and husband Jeff; her sons John Chambers, Tarechechee Chambers and David Chambers and wife Carla; her brothers, Raymond Tubbs and wife Linda and Larry Tubbs and wife Norma; grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Nita Ann; her son Joseph Wayne; her sisters, Virginia and Helen and her brother, Floyd “Tubby” Tubbs.
A memorial service was held Aug. 31 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Chapman officiating
