Liberty-Tambo Apartments were officially welcomed by the Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday morning by Chamber Ambassadors. According to Property Manager Pam Hunter (holding giant scissors), there are 76 apartments at Liberty-Tambo for those 62 and older at the HUD-subsidized, income-based facility, which maintain a 97-percent occupancy rate year round, she said. Liberty was built in 1988 and Tambo was built in 1992, Hunter noted. Photos by Randy Kirby, Sedalia News Journal.
