Hannah Ott

Jefferson City, MO. (July 24, 2012) – Arthur Wilson, State Commander of The American Legion, Department of Missouri, announced last week that Hannah Ott of Sedalia, was selected as the top JROTC Cadet in Missouri for the 2012 year.

This is the highest award a JROTC Cadet can be awarded by the Department of Missouri, American Legion.

C/LTC Hannah Ott is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ott, and is sister to Kendall and Krysta. Cadet Ott’s accomplishments are many and her high school GPA of 4.0 and class ranking were determining factors in her selection above all other nominations submitted by JROTC programs state wide. Though Cadet Ott maintains a busy and crowded schedule, she found time to attend Missouri American Legion Auxiliary Girl’s State recently at UCM in Warrensburg.

Cadet Ott will be the guest of the Missouri American Legion at their Fall Conference in October, where she will receive formal recognition. Cadet Ott was sponsored by George A. Whiteman Memorial Post 642 and its Americanism/Children & Youth Committee. Submitted photo.
