Rachel Walton, left, daughter of Eric and Vicki Walton of Sedalia, was crowned Miss Pettis County 2012 Thursday, July 5 on opening night of the Smithton Town & Country Fair. Kelly Straus was named first runner up and Hannah Kreisel was named Miss Congeniality. 2011 Pettis County Queen Bethany Kreisel crowned the 2012 winner.
Also competing for the title were Maria Bahner, Emily Blackburn and Tiffany Catron. James Abey emceed the event, while 17-year-old Izabella Oswald supplied the musical entertainment throughout the show with three numbers. The 2012 Smithton Fair continues through Saturday.
