Two arrested in meth STING

On June 12, 2012 at approximately 5:29 a.m., the S.T.I.N.G. Unit and other officers served a search warrant at 1411 S. Sneed.

Upon arrival the residence was secured, as well as the occupants. After finding drug items in plain sight, the occupants were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Three children that were in the residence were placed with a family member.

After a search of the residence, several drug items were located: methamphetamine, marijuana, baggies, and pipes.

The residence was located approximately 398 feet from Horace Mann Elementary School.

The subjects are being held on a twenty-four hour hold pending state charges.

Darrick Brown

Those arrested at the residence include Darrick T. Brown, age 33, 1411 S. Sneed, and Shannon L. Walters, age 29, 1411 S. Sneed.

Darrick T. Brown is charged with manufacturing a controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school, distribution of a controlled substance within 2000 feet of a school, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Shannon Walters

As of press time, Brown is being held on a $250,000 bond.

Shannon L. Walters is charged with the manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

As of press time, Walters is being held on a $15,000 cash surety bond.
