Doris May Roe, 83, of Belton, Texas, formerly of Sedalia, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at the William R. Courtney Veterans Home in Temple, Texas.
She was born May 10, 1929, in Sedalia, a daughter of William A. and Mabel Yunker Leicher. On June 21, 1947, in Sedalia, she married Wilbur Leo Roe, who survives of the home.
Mrs. Roe was a member of Parkview Christian Church.
In addition to her husband, survivors include four children, Karan Long (Dick), of Sedalia, Debbie Nagel (Gary), of Broken Arrow, Okla., Bill Roe (Penny), of Omaha, Neb., and Jo Wasson (Steve), of Belton, Texas; 11 grandchildren, Chris Long, Matt Long, Jaime McCoy, Jeremy Nagel, Brian Nagel, Sarah Nagel, Jada Roe, Madison Roe, Piper Roe, Haley Wasson and Chelsey Wasson; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Ann Weaver.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 3, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Rodney Brown officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home.
