Bettie Mosby

Bettie Juanita Mosby, 78 of Sedalia, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. She was born on July 17, 1933, in Morgan County, a daughter of John Austin and Ruth Mae Neitzert.

On July 14, 1950, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Paul Mosby who survives of the home.

Her family was her number one priority and she loved her grandchildren dearly. She enjoyed collecting angels and coins. She loved talking politics and listening to country music.  She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, Sedalia.

She is survived by four daughters, Linda Cline and her husband Steven of Boonville, Carol Downing and her husband James of Yukon, Okla., Janet Gertz and her husband Daniel of Sedalia and Janice Hoover and her husband Harry of Sedalia; two sisters, Lilly Kretzer and her husband Kenneth of Sedalia and Mary Prall and her husband Donald of Buckner; 10 grandchildren, Amy, Christopher, John, Stephanie, Matthew, Brian, Bradley, Michael, Marissa and Jason; and twenty two great grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Rosie Neitzert, two brothers, Everett and Roy Neitzert and one grandson, Joshua Wade Downing.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Rea Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Brady Abel officiating.

Family will receive friends two hours prior to service, from 9 to 11 a.m.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Christopher Cline, Matthew Downing, John Cline, Brian Downing, Jason Hoover, Bradley Downing and Michael Gertz.

Honorary bearers will be granddaughters, Amy Adam, Stephanie Dominique and Marissa Gertz.
