Alexander Kincaid Shaffer, 30, of Warrensburg, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at his home.
He was born Feb. 14, 1982, in Sedalia, beloved son of Tony Shaffer, of Warrensburg, and Maria (Shaffer) Mittelhauser, of Sedalia.
Shaffer graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 2000, and took a trip to Germany to explore his mother’s homeland and his heritage. Upon returning, he enrolled in classes at the University of Central Missouri, where his father teaches. He loved music and computers, playing bass with his casual “jam” band and recording it and editing the recordings. He lived in Sedalia and Warrensburg, where he spent time with his friends and his cat, “Sadie,” all of whom he loved and who appreciated his wit and wisdom and friendship and will miss him greatly.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his step-father, Jeff Mittelhauser, and two step-brothers, Davis and Cooper Mittelhauser.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, at Heckart Funeral Home, with Rev. Kenny Cripe and John Drenon officiating.
Casket bearers will be Cooper Mittelhauser, Davis Mittelhauser, Ben Van Dyke, Mick Luehrman, John Check and Darius Dietrich.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Heckart Funeral Home.
