Advantage Metals celebrates Earth Day

Hundreds of Sedalia Middle School students were invited to the Earth Day celebration and open house at Advantage Metals Recycling, 300 North Iron, on Friday, April 20. Sedalia firefighters conducted a demonstration of their skills for the students.
A variety of local dignitaries also attended the event, which included tours of the facilities as well as lunch, with Sedalia City Council members Bob Cross, Mayor Pro Tem Stephen Galliher and Wiley Walter, Mayor Elaine Horn, State Rep. Stanley B. Cox, Pettis County Assessor Dean Dohrman, Sedalia Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Connie Smith, Sedalia Police Officer Kelly Casto and Pettis County Sheriff Bond in attendance, to name a few.
