James M. Hall, 94, of Sedalia, died on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Fair View Nursing Home.
He was born on April 17, 1917 in Manila, Mo., son of William E. and Rosa Sickler Hall. He was married on April 13, 1940 in Sedalia to Ethel Boatcher and she survives.
He went to high school for three years in Green Ridge and graduated from Smith-Cotton High School. He served in the Army for three years. He lived in Sedalia most all of his life. He worked for the Sedalia Post Office as a mail carrier for over 35 years. He was a member at First Christian Church for over fifty years. Past member of the Knife and Fork Club. He enjoyed reading, visiting with family and friends. After retirement he loved to travel with his wife Ethel.
Besides his wife he is survived by one brother; William Hall of Sedalia, two sisters; Leona Payne of Glasgow, Missouri, Viola Urton of Kansas City, Mo. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Louis Hall, Harold Hall, Robert Hall, two sisters; Audrey Rice and Mary Jane Hayes.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Chad McMullin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28 until service time at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home.
