Charles Wiechen

Charles E. Wiechen, 79, of Sedalia, died Monday, March 19, 2012, at Bothwell Regional Health Center. He was born on Aug. 3, 1932, in Pettis County, a son of Edgar and Leota (Rages) Wiechen.

On Jan. 1, 1954, he was united in marriage to Joan Riley, who survives of the home.

He attended Ringen School and graduated from Smithton High School in 1950. He worked for Smithton Motor Co., Howard Construction and Pittsburg Corning for 20 years, retiring in January, 1988. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Sedalia. Charles served his country honorably in the US Navy from 1952 – 1956.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Paul Wiechen of Sedalia and one sister, Mariam Anderson of Marshall.

He was predeceased by his parents.

There will be no visitation.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 21 at Highland Sacred Gardens, with Dr. Drew Hill officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to First Baptist Church in care of Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia.
