Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center is honoring its administrator, Pamela J. Osburn, during Long Term Care Administrator’s Week, March 12 – 16, 2012. With 20 years of service at the Residence Center, Osburn is dedicated to enriching the lives of the residents. Osburn leads and directs the overall operations of the center in accordance with the residents’ needs, government regulations and company policies, with the focus of providing excellent care for the residents.
The Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center is a not-for-profit, Medicaid-certified, state licensed skilled nursing facility, offering an affordable alternative for gracious living. Opened in 1992 with twelve skilled nursing beds, 24 residential care beds and two adult day care beds, the Residence Center now offers 66 semi-private and 54 private skilled nursing beds. This includes 15 private rooms dedicated to the care and treatment of Alzheimer’s residents in a state-of-the-art Memory Care Unit. With professionally-decorated rooms and common areas, and double the staffing that the state requires, the goal of the Residence Center is to ensure a superior quality of care and quality of life for its residents.
