Criminal cases heard on March 6

Judge Robert L. Koffman heard the following cases on March 6:

Harvey, Nathaniel, 22, Sedalia, pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. During a traffic stop Oct, 5, Sedalia Police Officer Todd Nappe found 56 oxycodone pills in the defendant’s pocket and drug-related messages on his cell phone. The defendant was sentenced to serve five years in prison.

Mundy, Timothy, 28, Sedalia, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property, admitting that on May 5 he kept property theft from Infamous Customs a week earlier knowing or believing the property was stolen. He was sentenced to serve one year in jail.

Rohling, Candice, 29, Smithton, was sentenced to serve 180 days in jail on a stealing charge. In an earlier guilty plea, the defendant admitted she stole money from a teacher’s classroom.

Sauer, Jonathan, 38, Sedalia, pleaded guilty to sexual misconduct involving a child. An investigation conducted by Sedalia Police Det. Jill Green disclosed that in early September the defendant photographed the genitals of an underage family member while that person was asleep. The defendant was sentenced to four years in prison.

Wallace, Daniel, 23, Sedalia, pleaded guilty to endangering the welfare of a child in the second degree, admitting he and others smoked marijuana while a one year old child in his care was present in the vehicle. He was sentenced to serve 180 days in jail.

White, Robert, 24, Sedalia, pleaded guilty to unlawful use of a weapon and property damage in the second degree in connection with a Nov. 11 disturbance at a Sedalia convenience store. The defendant chased a person with a knife after the person intervened in an argument between the defendant and a store employee. The defendant was sentenced to serve three years in prison.

Whitlow, Joseph, 35, Sedalia, pleaded guilty to three counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver. The Sedalia Police Department’s S.T.I.N.G. Unit served a search warrant at the defendant’s home on North Stewart December 11 and found marijuana, methamphetamine and cocaine. The defendant was sentenced to serve three consecutive 10 year sentences, and he was placed in the prison’s long term drug treatment program. The defendant also consented to the forfeiture of $11,115 found during the search.
