Elizabeth B. Boyd, 99, of Sedalia, died Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at her home.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 1 at 11 a.m. at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel Sedalia, with the Rev. Father William Miller officiating. Burial will be in Slater City Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, at the funeral chapel.
She was born Aug. 15, 1911, in Frankfort, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Fritsch Kapeller. In September, 1933, she married James Boyd and he preceded her death on July 23, 1980.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Jane Dooley, of Sedalia; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James “Jim” Boyd; and four brothers, Raymond Kapeller, Benjamin Kapeller, Carl Kapeller and Albert Kapeller.
Mrs. Boyd was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sedalia. She had worked at the Windsor International Shoe Factory. She loved flowers and gardening. She had resided in Sedalia since 1982, moving from Windsor.
