Dixie Lee England, 74, of Sedalia, died Friday, May 27, 2011, at her home.
She was born June 26, 1936, in Roseland, a daughter of Herschel and Lucille Woods Parks. On June 14, 1989, in Boonville, she was married to Bob J. England, who preceded her in death on Aug. 19, 2007.
Mrs. England was a member of First Baptist Church. She worked as a dental assistant. She was a member of a birthday club, enjoyed playing Bridge and loved her grandkids.
Surviving are a son, Terry Anderson, of Sedalia; a daughter, Vicki Eckerle, and her husband, Roger, of La Monte; four grandchildren, Angie Hagedorn, Erica Daniel, Leland Anderson and Jim Anderson; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Frances Goldsmith, of Sedalia, Mary Young, of Pleasant Hill, and Wilma Bishop, of Kansas City.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Terry’s fiance, Kathy Spear.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Drew Hill officiating.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.
