in Local

A local Ride of Silence was held in Sedalia May 18 in conjunction with a national event to honor those who have been injured or killed in a biking accident, to raise awareness if bicyclists on the road and to ask motorists to share that road with those on two wheels. The group began their silent, slow-paced ride at the Missouri State Fairgrounds and stopped briefly at the Pettis County Courthouse for a photo opp. Participating in the ride were several members of the Pearl River Bike Club. The event was held during National Bike Month. Photos by Randy Kirby, Sedalia News Journal.
