Bothwell’s Nurse of the Year 2011

CEO John Dawes congratulates Nurse of the Year Celia Roasch on May 12.

Celia Roasch, RN, was named Bothwell Regional Health Center’s Nurse of the Year for 2011 during a ceremony held in the BRHC cafeteria on Thursday afternoon, May 12. She was chosen from a field of 11 nominees, including Bethany Bulifant, Katie Case, Gloria Dawson,  Ann Martin, Kristen McCullough, Rita Mergen, Pavel Ogorodnik, Mimi Prenger, Maggie Schaffer and Rebekah Stone. She began her nursing career at Bothwell in 1998 in the ER and worked in that department for 10 years. She nows works in the Continous Quality Improvement Department as an Infectional Control Nurse.

Roasch, 53, said she loves her job and the thing that keeps her coming back every day is ‘knowing that I can help somebody somewhere in the hospital, whether it’s employees, patients, doctors or administrators.’ Acccording to Bothwell CEO John Dawes, Roasch is one of over 400 employees at the hospital who work as an RN, LPN or CNA at Bothwell.
