Lucille H. King, 91, of Sedalia, died Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Lake Ozark Regional Health Center in Osage Beach.

She was born April 26, 1920, in Brandon, a daughter of Lee Monroe and Pearl May (Bailey) Hughes. On April 5, 1942, in Marshall, she married Don L. King, who preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2006.

She attended high school in Marshall. She worked as a bookkeeper for Farmers Savings Bank in Marshall. After her children were born, she became a full time homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church in Sedalia. She enjoyed playing bridge.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Salisbury, and her husband, David, of Sunrise Beach; two grandchildren, Amy Penrod, and her husband, Jason, and Sara Smith, and her husband, John; and two great-grandsons.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna King.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, May 9 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Sutherlin officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Penrod, John Smith, William Richardson, Warren Preuitt, Jim Rissler and Dave Menefee. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Sunday, May 8 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m.
