Veronica Lynn (Buckner) Callaham, 42, of Sedalia, died Friday, March 25, 2011, at the University Hospital, Columbia. She was born on May 3, 1968, in Kansas City, Kan., a daughter of Charles and Frances Jackson.

She served her country honorably in the US Army and fought for her country in Desert Storm. Veronica enjoyed to travel, shop and read. She enjoyed all kinds of sports and especially loved to watch wrestling. She worked at Hayes Lemmerz in Sedalia.

Besides her parents she is survived by a daughter, Tamerra Freeman and her husband Patrick of Lake Charles, La.; a son, Donal Buckner and his girlfriend Ashlea of Sedalia; two brothers, Mark Buckner of Little Rock, Ark., and Christopher Jackson of Sedalia; a half sister, Tamara Williams of Memphis; a step sister, Veronica Gillett of Altadena, CA; two half brothers, Reginal Gay of Sedalia and James Williams of Memphis, Tenn.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, April 1, at Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia.
